I did this drawing of Brian using a photo I had taken of him in the Keys.

I love the way it captures his kindness and goodness. He had had a tracheotomy in 1973 at the time of his terrible, life-changing accident. You can see the tracheotomy indentation in the drawing. We all miss our beloved Brian,  3/6/48 - 3/28/18. He was my hero, my protector, my greatest supporter and my very best friend.  He graced my and my kids' and friends' lives, as well as a massive number of friends of his own, for 24 years.  I am so grateful we could have him so long, when, as he said, "all the years after the accident were bonus years."  He was grateful for every one of them, as were we who got to have him so closely in our lives for all that time.
