Classic car

My husband and I were driving down a rural highway in Florida, going along listening to the radio and talking, and suddenly I yelled "STOP, BRIAN, BACK UP!"  I had just seen this beauty of a classic car sitting by the roadside, probably for sale, but Brian had missed it.  Brian was so glad I had him go back for the photo I took that I then did my very first pastel work on.  I still cannot believe I captured this car in pastels as my first shot in the pastels medium.  I can only conclude that my passion for classic cars carried me through the process of capturing all its exquisite lines and details. I put it in a barn for a children's story I wrote and illustrated for my grandkids, Carmen and Collin. The title of the book was A Visit to Aunt Clara.
