The Healing Tree, Acrylic

This was a spontaneous work of art I created one time at my late husband Brian’s and my home in Tampa, Florida.  It just kind of “got itself born out of my paint brushes.”  I liked the idea that the healing light of the sun was shining through the tree’s branches, and that the tree seemed magically full of light and life, and that the roots were also full of light and healing.  A dear relative who had been diagnosed with cancer found the large print of The Healing Tree quite helpful in imagining the magical light chasing away the nasty cancer cells, and curing her right down to her roots.  Thankfully, she was fully cured by her chemo and radiation treatments and has regained excellent health.  I think she still cherishes The Healing Tree.
